I don't know if I have a list of five, but I would add:
Riot on an Empty Street by Kings of Convenience (Do you them John? Awesome! They sound like Simon and Garfunkel meet Nick Drake) Music for Two by Bela Fleck and Edgar Meyer (Some of the songs may have been recorded on a concert that Andy, my dad, and I went too-- it's a live compliation album, but doesn't list where each song was recorded) Posted by: Mike at December 6, 2004 11:09 PM
perhaps maybe i should change one of mine to: King Friday and the Polar Coordinates - Let Me Touch Your Asymptote. that jam is HOT! Posted by: john guari at December 7, 2004 02:17 AM
mmm...HOT jam....on toast. Posted by: phil at December 7, 2004 10:36 AM
Yes!!! John, I forgot about that until. Oh, I miss Mr. Gesk so much. Did you know he went back to California?--NCMG :) (sorry for the inside joke, i'll explain-- that's cool kid talk (ok, John and me) for "not cool Mr. Gesk.") Posted by: Mike at December 7, 2004 10:35 PM
Dude, I know Gavid Desk went back to cali... whats up with that? I'm 99% positive that right now Mr. Gesk is surfing... boy did he love surfing. And he's got a mini-band on his board playing whipe-out, and there's numbers and integrals in the water. (That part of the comment was inspired by a picture Billy made during our year being taught by Mr. Gesk) Anywho, I of course agree with The Killers as top 5, I'm also getting into the Fran Ferdinand CD more. Garden State was good, but it's a complilation CD, so it doesn't count. Oh, Oh!... Guster on Ice was a great release as well. I'm still waiting on my Dispatch final concert CD/DVD that I ordered from Best Buy, which should be a good CD. Posted by: Jake at December 8, 2004 04:58 PM
complilation albums totally count. Posted by: Ashley at December 10, 2004 03:55 PM
