I had that done over a Christmas break as well (on a Monday morning at 8 a.m.--eww). My mom started me out with Valium before I even went to the dentist's office, and they gave me Tylenol 3 (pretty much straight codeine) afterwards. I went home and had weird, swirling dreams for most of the afternoon, and then I actually felt good enough that night to go instrumental Christmas caroling with my friends.
