i was at dave's house tonight and we heard Steely Dan's "Do It Again" coming from what seemed like a couple houses away. we walked for a few minutes, trying to locate the source of the sound. maybe the church down the road was having a party? nope. maybe it's something on the square? nope. it ended up being some sort of Denton blues festival happening at the Civic Center park, where they have the Arts and Jazz Festival every spring. this is about 2 miles from Dave's house. we met the saxophonist and trumpet player from the group we heard. They were both UNT alums. The trumpet player was in the One O'Clock in the 1960s and toured with Paul McCartney and Wings! fantastic.
