life lesson

always know when places close.

i have a load of laundry that's locked in a laundromat. i have to go in at 7:00 AM when they open to get it tomorrow (today). i can see it through the front door. argh, so frustrating.

back to denton

i'm still in the woodlands, but elizabeth and i are going to be driving back up to denton in a little bit. we saw the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie, which was decent, but not excellent.

yesterday, nate, julie, elizabeth and i went to Crystal Beach in Galveston and swam in the ol' Golfo de Mexico. the ocean is very salty says me.

i'm looking forward to the rest of summer, to keeping on taking lessons and doing summer lab band, to working with the Great American Challenge some more, and to eventually starting my SENIOR YEAR OF COLLEGE OMG.

live from the woodlands

i am in The Woodlands, TX right now. elizabeth and i are visiting nate and julie. nate plays drums in the band and he is strung out on oxys after his wisdom tooth removal.

The Woodlands is one huge housing development, it's crazy. it's like McMansion city. i've never been down to the Houston area. after today, i will have visited almost all the major cities in Texas.

i was just noticing my lack of blog lately.

boring speech

i just finished printing out all the citations and references for a 6-8 minute speech i have to make tomorrow. at first, my main concern was making my speech long enough, but now i just clocked it in at 7:45 without a 25 second video clip i'll be showing. i can go to 8:30 but i'll get docked points after that. so i'll probably cut some stuff out or just talk faster. HOORAY.
