elizabeth is here!

elizabeth got into town today! my family and i took her to cossetta for awesome pizza, then she and i learned about cocaine!

spoils!

i got some phat cash, which will offset the cost of me buying that XBOX360.

i also got an iPod. yes, i finally have succumbed. hopefully, i'll be able to spend the time i have on my flight to New York watching Yacht Rock on it!

"snow"

so it's a combination of freezing rain, hail and snow today. some of it is sticking to the ground, which is fantastic. i did some winter driving today, and i still got the old skills.

speaking of skills, i'm trying really hard to play trumpet every day to keep those skills up. auditions are the day after i get back from New York, and I don't know how much time i'll have for practicing there. I'm just going to have to take what I get and hope for the best. I really would love to make the 3 o clock lab band. i think i've been at UNT and worked hard enough long enough to make it in. it's tough though, because the higher bands are bottlenecked with good players. there are only 2 jazz trumpet spots per band. i got an A in improv 3, which is the first A i've received in an improv class. hopefully i can edge out the competition.

recharge

i've been home since monday. it's really relaxing to be home. we're supposed to have snow in the next couple of days, which i'm really excited about. equally exciting is the arrival of drew tomorrow and janine on friday. we'll have some good times. even more exciting is the arrival of elizabeth a week from today. the plan is to take her snow tubing!

i must be off to a doctor's appointment.

joggity jog

so i'm at elizabeth's house in Mesquite, TX. i'm recovering from a crazy semester. i'll stay the weekend, then fly home to Minnesota monday morning. i can't wait to be home. i want my face to freeze and all that nonsense.

why do i always mistrust Ryan Reynolds. every movie i've seen him in has been hilarious. elizabeth, her parents and i watched "Just Friends," last night, and it was hilarious on all counts. god bless you, ryan reynolds.

christmas comes early

elizabeth gave me this kickass watch. we need to get a few links taken out because of my scrawny chicken arms, and replace a battery apparently, but soon my style points will be +10!

finals week

i have a jazz history final on monday and final composition project due friday. juries are done, so like 90% of my stress is too.

shopping

i only have 1 person's gift for christmas so far and elizabeth and i just went shopping for a few hours. i found nothing.
