i just sent myself a finale file labeled "really bad cpt.MUS" because i am really bad at counterpoint right now. i have no idea of what's right or wrong. i'm sure i'll catch on, but this beginning has me with more questions than answers.

back in action, jack in action

so i'm back in denton, TX, where there is ice everywhere. i left new york and it was in the 50s and now it's in the 20s in texas. this, of course, makes no sense. i had my lab band audition today and i thought it went well, and i have a callback audition tonight at 7:15 PM. this presents a moral dilemma, as that is when the 24 SEASON PREMIERE IS CONTINUING WITH TWO HOURS TONIGHT 7-9. i'll just have to miss the first half of the first episode, grudgingly. i'll survive. i'm shooting for the 3 or 4 o clock lab bands.

i used to be good at writing words; now i'm good at writing music (sometimes). a fair trade, i'd say.
