weather aside, things are going okay. the last two weeks have been really stressful, but productive, musically. deadlines for all sorts of things are coming up. i just gave my application for grad school at UNT and it looks like I may be one of the first Jazz Composition Master's students under the new M.M. plan at UNT. Guinea pig!
Tuesday, April 24 is my Senior Arranging Recital. It will be held at 8:00 PM in Stan Kenton Hall at the UNT College of Music. It will consist of badass compositions arrangements by John Guari and Dave Dolengewicz. Some of this music has yet to be written, and perhaps even conceived. I must ride this writer's un-block as far as it will take me. So far, it's given me 3 or 4 charts worth since last November.
Gotta keep rollin'
rollin'
rollin' on the river

Fun Factoid: "What's Love Got To Do With It" was the number one song in America the week I was born.
the most difficult part of writing music is actually writing it, physically, with pencil and paper or finale. once i get past that initial hurdle, it usually goes pretty well.
a week and half of being sick put my writing on the back burner, but i started up again and the ideas are flowing.
